Originally developed for the US Army, the MA-1 flight jacket was the first military bomber jacket to transition into civilian fashion. 1ER MAI interprets this iconic piece in a reversible version.

FABRICS & COLORS

Side 1: Brown/Tan/Blue Marble Printed Cotton (Deadstock). Soft and comfortable woven fabric. Print inspired from the marbling painting technique. 

Side 2: Italian Black Satin Crepe. High quality medium weight woven fabric with a nice hold and beautiful drape. Soft and fluid, sheen but not shiny, with a little bit of stretch on one side.

Ysaline Lannes is the owner and designer of 1ER MAI, a streetwear brand launched in 2021. Her brand creates graphic and functional clothing for women, men, and unisex, inspired by workwear and countercultures, designed and made to order in their Mile-End workshop in Montreal. 1ER MAI uses upcycling to create new clothes from used clothes chosen in local thrift stores, as well as unused fabrics from local designers and manufacturers, thus contributing to the Montreal fashion industry. Each garment is designed, cut, and handmade in their workshop according to high-quality standards, ensuring a durable garment and avoiding overproduction.
